Now Accepting The Canadian Dental Care Plan!

Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)

Dental Care 4 Kids is pleased to announce that we are accepting patients that are approved for the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) government programme.

This programme was designed to help Canadian residents who meet certain criteria (for example, those who do not have access to dental benefits and have a household income of less than $90,000 annually). There is an approval process where you submit your information and are told if you qualify. This approval is for a specific time period, which means that you need to reapply on a yearly basis to check if you still qualify for the programme.

While the CDCP government programme will help reduce the cost of dental care for eligible Canadian residents, it is important for patients to know that this is not free dental care.

At Dental Care 4 Kids, we follow the paediatric specialist dental fee guide for all of our patients. This fee guide may be different from the CDCP fee guide. Patients should be aware that there may be a difference between our fee and your coverage. There may also be procedures that are not covered at all under this programme. While we will accept payment from Sunlife/CDCP, who is the insurance provider for the programme, it is important that the parent/caregiver understands that any outstanding balance is expected to be paid at the time of service.

When you arrive for your first appointment, we require you to bring your CDCP member card, a piece of photo ID, and the welcome letter that contains your benefit start date.
